Our Values

At theBridge, we will always value...

1) unconditional acceptance of people.

We recognize that God created, loves, and desires relationship with every person on the earth. At theBridge, we choose to value and treat with dignity each one we have the opportunity to cross paths with. (2nd Peter 3:9, 1 Thessalonians 3:12)

2) relationships as an essential ingredient for reaching others with the good news, for growing closer to Christ, and for weathering the storms of life.

We realize that God created people to relate to one another. This natural quality within humanity is utilized at theBridge by relational outreach to the community, small group gatherings, and church-wide celebrations. (Colossians 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 10:25)

3) the teaching and mentoring of future generations.

We recognize God has placed the responsibility of conveying His truth to those who will follow us. At theBridge, meeting the spiritual needs of young people is a first-level priority, not an afterthought. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9, Proverbs 22:6, Psalm 145:4)

4) serving our world and our church family as a team.

We rejoice in God's design for His people, theBridge recognizes that believers knit together are called "the Body of Christ." As parts of a body are interdependent, we are reliant on one another. Each part of our team is an "all-star" in some area of service! (1 Peter 2:5, 1 Corinthians 12:18)

5) servanthood as the doorway to leadership within our number.

We embrace Christ's philosophy of true leadership beginning at the feet of others. Leaders of all levels within theBridge will be servants of all. (Mark 9:35, John 13:1-17)

6) maintaining the edge of relevancy in how ministry is accomplished.

We recognize that while God is unchanging, our culture and society are not. At theBridge, we choose to anchor our message to the Truth while our methods will constantly flex and stretch to clearly communicate the good news to those we meet. (1 Corinthians 9:20-22)

7) the pursuit of excellence in everything we attempt both individually and as a group.

We recognize that perfection is not a goal to be attained but striven for. At theBridge, we are dedicated to doing all that we do with attitudes that say "I will give my very best." (Exodus 23:19, Ephesians 6:5-8)
