Our Vision

At theBridge, our vision is...

1) PERSONAL

theBridge will be a community-minded church focused on reaching those living in the greater eastern panhandle region of West Virginia - one person at a time.

2) BROAD

Through serving our neighborhoods and community, meeting basic human needs, maintaining home, men's and ladies' groups, offering public worship gatherings, and providing Christian education, those a part of theBridge will connect with, befriend, and eventually disciple the unsaved and unchurched in the greater Charles Town area.

3) SINCERE

theBridge will be a highly relational church. We will be known for our friendliness and genuine concern. We will reflect openness and hospitality to those we come into contact with both in and outside of our number.

4) HARVEST-FOCUSED

theBridge will place a priority on filling our seats (and homes, and lives!) with those who are considering the claims of Christ or have accepted Him recently. We will not pursue believers who attend other local churches.

5) UNSELFISH

theBridge will function as a family in that we have a strong desire to see each of our number (especially our children,) grow, mature, and find a meaningful place of service in the Body of Christ, the Church.

6) MOTIVATED

theBridge will also function as a team that strives for excellence, giving our best to whatever ministries the church develops, whether teaching adults or training toddlers, greeting visitors or cleaning bathrooms, worshipping or changing diapers!

7) HEALTHY

theBridge will be a healthy church. Jesus said good (healthy) trees bear good (healthy) fruit. We want to bear good fruit; so we will pursue health by seeking unity among ourselves, communicating with one another honestly, refusing to gossip, focusing on God's Word and continually seeking the leading of the Holy Spirit.
